    Guide to Fuel Cleanliness

WHAT IS A GUIDE TO FUEL CLEANLINESS

Our guide to fuel cleanliness has been created as a one stop shop for our customers and users of diesel to understand the risks of contamination incidents and ways to manage and resolve these risks

    Fuel Contamination

    Where do you start?

    Initial InspeCtion

Our technicians will attend your site and perform the initial inspection of your site, the tank, environment etc. We will also take a baseline fuel sample at this point to identify any existing issues within the tank.

    ISO 4406

    Our most common FAQs

    "BUT MY FUEL LOOKS CLEAN...."

The human eye is only capable of viewing sizes down to 40µm (microns), whereas the World Wide Fuel Charter measures fuel at three micron sizes, 4 µm, 6µm and 14 µm, well below that of which the human eye can detect.

"BUT WE TURN OVER OUR FUEL TOO QUICKLY...."

All fuel will have some form of contamination, and that contamination will accumulate over time and settle to the bottom of your tank. It doesn't take long before this will get to a critical level where this will start to cause early wear on components and decrease fuel efficiency and power. Think of your fuel tank as a snow globe. Refueling your tank "shakes the snowglobe" putting all the accumulated contaminants in solution with your fuel.

Gone are the days of costly pump outs. We can remove the harmful contaminants with our specialised equipment at a fraction of the cost.
